On words and names

It is a damned thing with words that you must,
just must, use them
to reach the wordless...
and then that space in the path
where you are stuck, which they - the one's who have
reached the place of no-return -- say is the knot of words
and names. So much like the wall for a blindman,
till he finds his way,
these words, a wall that leads.
Only
the blind forgets the path,
forgets his search,
settles down
and marries the wall!

Hi Shameem,

I just found this blog yesterday. This poem/verses are excellent. I am talking about the example of the wall for the blind man. The best lines are at the end "the blind forgets the path,
forgets his search,
settles down
and marries the wall! " - Just Brilliant!

I will not feign full understanding of these lines, because I suspect the meaning must be at several levels.

Also, I have read /heard that the truly wise (or enlightened) are loathe to speak or give any advice - as they know that all the words will be of no use. This poem of yours expresses their frustration beautifully.

Did you write this poem? If yes, then you must attempt things like these.. It's a great way to bring out ideas in a concise, beautiful way.

I just went back to the page and whoa! Found your earlier poem "Looking back".. Had to read it several times to guess what you were talking about... I think I have an idea - but will not display my ignorance here! :-) Now I am convinced that you wrote both the poems.. Great, Shameem..

Really very good work. Keep it up.

Nowadays I find myself going thru your blogs (still a lot to read) almost daily...

Best Regards,
